7 Netflix Shows to Binge-Watch the Rest of This Summer

All these shows and movies on Netflix and you still can't decide what to watch? Been there, done that. Summer is all about making the best of the hot sunny weather and all the free time you've got! But if you're in the mood to stay in, get comfy and binge-watch Netflix all day, we're here to make your day. Here are 7 Netflix shows we deem binge-worthy for your summer days (and nights)!

1. Orange is the New Black

Everybody’s been holding their breaths for the notorious bad girls of Netflix, none other than the cast of Orange is the New Black. We were left off with an insane cliffhanger, and according to the Season 6 trailer and all the S6 promos, the Litchfield ladies are going to Max. Looks like we’re in for a rougher, raunchier ride with the females of OITNB! We cannot wait. Mark your calendars, July 27, everybody!

2. GLOW

The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back with a bang! Literally. If the WWF had a Hairspray, 80s movie montage edition, this would be it. Big hair, body slams, and girl drama that gets settled in the ring, what more can you ask for? Fun fact: did you know that Orange is the New Black was created by GLOW producer Jenji Kohan? It’s easy watching, but not mindless fluff easy, but stands apart as a whole.

3. Queer Eye For The Straight Guy

All things just keep getting better! (You totally sang it, didn’t you.) Yes, yes, we know Season 2 was released in June and you probably devoured it all within one Saturday, but how could you resist? This show is all feel-good emotions packed into each episode, with the Fab Five 2.0 Antoni, Tan, Karamo, Bobby, and Jonathan! While the original cast focused on the theme of ‘tolerance’, this reboot focuses on ‘acceptance’. And accompanying them through their makeovers might just be everybody’s favourite thing in the world. Do it! Yas!

4. All About the Washingtons

This is an upcoming Originals series that will be premiering on August 10, and its Netflix description recounts it as a scripted comedy starring Hip-hop icon Rev. Run and his wife Justine about their attempt at balancing work, romance, and family chaos. We’re picturing a binge-worthy version of Hollywood blockbuster hit ‘Are We There Yet?!’ and we can’t wait! And just imagine the soundtrack! Exciting.

5. Adventure Time

Finn & Jake probably rank pretty high up among cartoon characters who are loved by individuals of all ages today. It’s funny, trippy, and perfect for lazy Saturday afternoons. Best enjoyed with a group of 4-5 friends. Since its pilot in 2010, the show’s got 278 episodes, and 10 seasons, where 3 of those seasons are now featured on Netflix! You know what time it is….!

6. The Innocents

If you’re looking for something a little more mellow, and slightly dark, you’re in for a treat with The Innocents, set to premiere on Netflix on August 24. This is the latest original to come from the UK, telling the story of a teenage girl who elopes with her boyfriend only to discover that she’s a shapeshifter, and can assume the appearance of other people. Guy Pearce plays the villain (we assume), who is after shapeshifters for what seems is probably for his own agenda. All that and a dash of budding teen romance and a good-looking cast to boot!

7. FRIENDS

The permanent resident in everybody’s go-to Netflix binge-session list, who wouldn’t go for ‘FRIENDS’. The sitcom of sitcoms––ideal for any type of easy watching you’re going for, and great for a pick-me-up. ‘FRIENDS’ is easily the classic TV staple for those who need a new comedy to binge. It follows Rachel, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Monica as 20-something friends "navigating through the pitfalls of work, life, and love in 1990s Manhattan, New York”. Escape reality with them, you’ve got all 10 seasons to do so!
